Personal Training at PT PLus
1. Different from general training practices (fitness test, measurements, goal setting, health questionnaire) our Biomechanics Coach will make a full assessment of your functional
movement patterns and central nervous system.
Compensation as a result of biomechanical flaws leads to faulty movement patterns. If you do not adapt your training programme you will be strengthening the body in the wrong position and
could develop injuries.
Your body may be out of balance as a result of a sedentary lifestyle or bad posture.
Both the general exerciser for fitness and amateur athlete benefit from biomechanical screening as a body which compensates becomes prone to injury and cannot perform optimally.
2. Your Personal Trainer will develop a programme that aims to achieve personal goals and improve function. Clientʼs personal goals vary from weight loss, toning and Core Stability Training
to just improving general fitness to more sport-specific, pre/post natal and rehab training.
3. Depending on training frequency we change the programme periodically. If you want to lose weight we advise you to book a consultation with our nutritionist (covered by insurance).
Your Personal Trainer will motivate you to persist and make sure you are using the correct training techniques to give the best results.
4. When your body is out of balance part of the training session will be focussed on releasing muscles and activating dormant muscles.
5. If you need more treatment, we will advise you to see a physiotherapist, osteopath or book a treatment with our Biomechanics Coach Judith Bakker. For more info, see heading Therapy.
